The Federal Republic of Germany, as a country with the fourth largest economy in the world, is an important player both in the European Union and in the international arena. Germany decided to review its foreign policy twice, in 2014 and 2022, including in the West Asian region. In this regard, this article attempts to examine Germany's foreign policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran in the period 2005-2024 within the framework of the theory of multilateralism and using a descriptive-analytical method in four political, economic, scientific and cultural areas. It should be noted that the importance of this research from the perspective of the field of international relations and West Asian studies stems from the fact that Germany's foreign policy towards Iran in the period 2005-2024 is examined for the first time. Although there is good material in the field of Germany and West Asia, most of the studies in this field are general and in the form of brief articles. This article has attempted to use a variety of sources such as books, theses, articles from scientific-research sites.
