Hybrid wars, as a new type of conflict, involve a combination of military, media, and information tools, which highlights the role of media diplomacy. How did Iran and Israel reconstruct and reproduce their identity and semantic discourses during the 12day war through the process of media diplomacy? The hypothesis is that Iran and Israel, despite their shared use of media diplomacy for identity reproduction during the 12-day war, employed different discourses: Iran utilized the discourse of resistance and justice-seeking, while Israel employed the discourse of securitization and victimization.".The research findings indicate that Iran and Israel have each tried to define their own identity as legitimate defenders of values and security by producing their own discourses, and in contrast, highlight the rival's identity as a threat and danger. This discursive process demonstrates the effective role of media diplomacy in reconstructing identities and shaping regional political competitions within the framework of hybrid wars.Media diplomacy in hybrid warfare acts not only as a tool for controlling public opinion, but also as a decisive factor in legitimizing or destabilizing war narratives.
