Afghanistan occupies a strategic position in the emerging global order due to its distinctive geopolitical location at the intersection of South Asia, Central Asia, and West Asia. As a connecting link among surrounding regions, the country plays an important role in regional security, political, and economic dynamics and has become one of the influential focal points in regional developments. The central question addressed by this study is: how does India utilize Afghanistan’s geopolitical capacities to advance its balancing strategy in the emerging global order? The main hypothesis of the study is that India draws upon Afghanistan’s geopolitical capacities to strengthen its regional influence, expand strategic ties, and establish a balance against regional rivals within the framework of the emerging global order. The findings indicate that India employs Afghanistan’s geopolitical capacities to reinforce its balancing strategy in the emerging global order; specifically, by expanding political, economic, and regional ties with Kabul, New Delhi seeks to consolidate its strategic position and enhance its room for maneuver in surrounding regional dynamics. This study is conducted through a descriptive–analytical approach and is based on data collected through library research.
